Healthy Peppermint Mocha

This coffee shop favourite gets a healthy home makeover featuring antioxidant-rich cocoa and calm-cooling peppermint.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 -2 shots espresso regular or decaf
  • 1/4 tsp peppermint extract
  • 1 cup steamed milk I used Earth's Own Naked Oat Milk
  • whipped coconut cream optional
  • crushed candy cane optional

Instructions
 

  • Scoop 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder into your mug.
  • Pour over espresso and whisk until creamy.
  • Add 1/4 tsp of peppermint extract and stir.
  • Pour over steamed milk.
  • Optional: Add whipped coconut cream and a sprinkle of crushed candy cane.
